Four UIowaCS Students among Winners Sharing $125,000 at JPEC Spring 2023 Innovation Challenge

Iowa JPEC hosted the second phase of Innovation Challenge on April 10-11, awarding $225,000 during in 2022-23 to support innovation across campus. It is open to all University of Iowa faculty, staff, graduate students, undergraduate students, and incubator startups. The second phase of Innovation Challenge was a business model canvas pitch competition. 36 out of 57 UI businesses were selected as finalists. Awardees include: - second-place $3,000 winners Nader Rahhal (Economics | Computer Science), Andy Lou (CS), and Gautam Sharda (CS) for "Student Sublet" in Best Technology category; - Idea Stage $500 Awardee Diego Sanchez (Medical Informatics)
