Version 2.2 of The Embryo website completed

The layout and organization phase of the on-line project, The Embryo, has reached it's final stages. Two proof-of-concept sites have been written, and content is being added daily. The site's goal is to provide a four dimensional reconstruction of the embryos of six organisms used in embryonic research. It is intended to be a resource for both researchers and educators. In addition to the embryos, four dimensional reconstructions of Dictyostelium, white blood cells, and axon migration will be available on-line. Currently, the embryo Caenorhabditis elegans has been modeled through embryogenesis, from the mono-cellular stage through eight divisions, or sixty-four cells. The quantitative data for this embryo at any stage of it's development is available upon request of the researcher or educator.
