11/29/08: If you are in EXW section and have not received the following email for some reason both times, here it is.

You DO need to do a 15-minute presentation on your term paper by the last class day, Thursday December 11th. There are two ways to do the presentation.

1) You can upload a file that shows your slides with narration in ICON. MS Powerpoint lets you record your narration with slide show, and any other format that shows your slides in sync with your narration is fine, as long as it does not require me to purchase a commercial software.

2) You can upload a slide file in ICON and present it over the phone. This requires you to schedule a 15 minute appointment with me. If you decide to go with this option, email me _NOW_ with at least 3 time slots between Tuesday, December 2nd and Friday, December 5th. It is your responsibility to email me in time for scheduling.

11/16/08: Online students should plan for the final presentation. You can either upload a presentation (slides+narration) file in ICON or upload only slides and have 15 minute presentation over the phone. Either way your presentation needs to be done by the last class day, December 11.

10/13/08: TA's office hours now changed to T-Th 3-4pm.

10/02/08: No office hour by the instructor today due to illness. Please email her for any questions.

9/08/08: You don't have to write a review for the paper that you're presenting.

9/08/08: The reference material for Thursday, Sep. 11 has changed. Please review the new material. Since the material is not research based, the required review length is half page for everything. Include your thoughts on polices of popular web services.

8/29/08: The sample note from the lecture on Thursday 8/28/08 scribed by the TA is available in ICON in Contents section. Students in EXW section should read this and sign up for their scribing dates. The dates will be filled in the order of requests. Requests are made via email to the instructor.

9/18/08: Prof. Doug Jones will give a guest lecture on privacy and anonymity in electronic voting.

9/18-19/08: The instructor will be out of town during these two days. She will have email contact intermittently.

9/14-22/08: The TA will be out of town during this period. He will have email contact intermittently.
