Research

I am currently working with the Computational Epidemiology group here at the University of Iowa. The group is focused on using computational methods to study the spread of hospital-acquired infections. My interest in the group is centered around using contact graphs as a way to understand how diseases spread through social interactions. More specifically I am interested in:

Generating hospital-worker contact graphs using real world data gathered from a variety of data sources.
Analyzing the structure of hospital-worker contact graphs to determine graph properties.
Developing new policies that reduce the size of impact of disease.
Understanding the impact that hospital data privacy concerns have on epidemiological contact graphs.
