This fall, the University is asking students and faculty to stay home if they have the flu, including waiving the requirement for doctor's notes to document missed classes or late assignments. Mostly this does not affect 22C:151, since attendance is not officially required and I provide six (6) floating "late days" to excuse late assignment submissions. These may be used in case of illness.
However, I will be more generous with exceptions to class policies for flu victims who fill out the university H1N1 absence form and simultaneously submit a partially completed assignment (via e-mail). This must be done at the time a student becomes too ill to attend class (not upon return to class). I will respond with any options you have for finishing the assignment later. Similar advance notice is required for missing exams due to this policy.
