The "Pretty Shopping Center" across street from out hotel. Incredible variety of stuff. Fun.

Dinner in Beijing. Hosts said this one had lots of Beijing-typical food. We had lots of that but also this, which is less typical. As far as I can tell (no English menus at this place), includes scorpions, grasshoppers, locusts, big grubs, and small bird eggs covered with ants. To me, the scorpions were the best (and grubs my least favorite.)

Besides the exotic center feature, we had many other very good things.
