State Farm To Be Honored on September 12 The Departments of Computer Sciece and Management Sciences are pleased to announce a special reception on Tuesday, Sept. 12, to honor State Farm and the State Farm Companies Foundation for their recent generous grant of $50,000, which will support significant upgrades to computer equipment in both departments. The reception will take place at 4:00 p.m. in Room W401 of the Pappajohn Business Building. Light refreshments will be served. On hand will be University students, faculty, and administrators, as well as officials and employees of State Farm, including corporate recruiters. The reception will include a formal check presentation ceremony and a chance to tour the new Management Information Systems Laboratory funded from the grant. Students in both the Tippie College of Business and in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will benefit from equipment upgrades made possible by this grant from State Farm. The grant came in connection with State Farm's Heartland Zone Public Affairs Department selection of The University of Iowa to be one of its Priority Schools for 2006.
