Individualized Cognates

Individualized Informatics Cognates

BA or BS in Informatics

The cognate course sets presented in the preceding sections represent preapproved cognate sequences that require no special approval. The program encourages and supports the development of individualized cognates.

Students should submit individualized cognate plans to the department for consideration and approval by the Director of Informatics.

Over time, we also expect to develop additional preapproved cognates, in areas including, for example, communication studies, journalism, chemistry, physics, geoscience, exercise science, and environmental science.
