The Paragon IT Professionals Technology Scholarship

As Paragon IT Professionals celebrates its 10th anniversary, they have created an annual scholarship for college-bound students who will major in computer science or related disciplines.

The Paragon IT Professions Technology Scholarship will award $1,000 annually to a student from a Des Moines, Minneapolis, and Omaha-area high school (Paragon, which specializes in Information Technology recruiting and consulting, has offices in these cities). These scholarships are awarded on May 1, of each year starting on May 1, 2008. The application deadline is March 1, 2008.

To qualify for the Scholarship, a student must:

  • Be a graduating High School Senior who will pursue a degree in computer science or related area of study.
  • Provide current GPA
  • Provide a resume showing activities, job history, education, background and plan
  • Provide two letters of reference
  • Submit a 250-500 word essay using this theme as a guide: “What motivates and inspires me to pursue a degree in computer science and technology.”

A panel of judges consisting of Paragon IT Professionals management and Paragon Consultants will judge the applications.
