Hello, welcome to my home page! I am a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in theDepartment of Computer Science at the University of Iowa focusing on research in the areas of Perception and Cognition in Virtual Environments, and Virtual Humans/Embodied Conversational Agents. I have also done work in the use of Virtual Reality in the therapy of Balance Disorders, Travel techniques in Virtual Environments, 3D Interaction, Computer Vision, and Visualization. You can find me working on various projects in theHank Virtual Environments Lab. My hobbies include Badminton, Hiking, Swimming and near-eastern History.
Before joining the University of Iowa, I completed my PhD in theDepartment of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte under the supervision ofDr. Larry F. Hodges. My Dissertation title was Inter-Personal Social Conversation in Multimodal Human-Virtual Human Interaction.
